किताबें और हम (Dedicated to all Book lovers)

Passion in Long-distance Relationship

Mobile Blinked. Her msg arrived. “m done wid dinner J.” Rohan smiled, he knows this is an indication that she is free to talk, and he talked with her for hours. Rohan use to work hard for whole day and then SMS chat with his beloved, Srishti, was giving him worth of living. It was regular schedule for him, waiting for night to talk with her.  Both of them were studying in different domains he was IT guy while she is a 440 watt would be electrical engineer but were miles away from each other.

In this mobile-age, they were emotionally connected to each other by means of technology. SMS, Skype and facebook were the means of sharing between them. Earlier Rohan was casual about his relationship. He always aimed to be Software Developer, but this long-distance was making him more deep and passionate about her. This regular calls and msgs was making him to think of her frequently. This thinking was giving him an extra perspective on what is it he loved about her and why she is important in his life. Srishti wants to stay as a couple and her words were the only one tool that was connecting him. Now, they approach each other more quickly than they were around each other. They have known each other from long and it’s the time to be alone again. Both of them were getting a feel of what life is like without special person.  Rohan never gives attention to any of his college girls as he considered Srishti as other side of his world. The couple, who use to fight a lot, learned to trust each other as it was only option left for them. While studying, Srishti was finding her own identity and was becoming more independent.  She realized worth of other thing and started focusing on them. Nevertheless, their priorities were changing.  Rohan was realizing value of Srishti in his life while Srishti was realizing worth of her career which she always dreamed about.

Finally, the frustration of Rohan reached at his peak and he started performing bad in academics. He want to be more with Srishti.  Srishti was not pleased with his decision; she didn’t want Rohan to leave his career for sake of her.  Rohan anyhow got his concentration back because of her motivation. However, he was happy in an assessment that he was with his love. He was fulfilling all his expectations which he dreamed to be with her. Meanwhile, Srishti got an opportunity to work on-field in a city far away from their town after campus selection.  When she discussed it with Rohan, he got disappointed as she even thought to discuss it. When Rohan opposed her to go, she yelled “I never asked you to leave your career for me, if I m getting a golden opportunity to work on-field you are becoming a hurdle for my successful future.” Rohan was deeply hurt but Srishti didn’t concern it much and left to Pune. She thought Rohan is emotionally entrapped and will later understand the practicality of life. She thought that she will marry Srishti whenever she will be back in town.

She got busy in Pune and was not able to restructure her relation with Rohan. One day, she got Rohan’s mail .

And the story continues.... (Wait for next post in same category-Love or Life)

An Interesting Tryst...

This is the first time I am blogging on this new blog after returning from a place away from the comfort of my home. In fact, this time I am blogging about an IT hub of India capital of Karnataka and a Mall City of South India. Yes, you guessed it right I am talking about Bangalore.

Well as am a bit sick right now so, all the while I am writing this piece, some of the simultaneous actions are: trying to stop my sweat drops from falling on the keyboard, sipping a very hot cup of tea(I have an addiction, humidity of rainy season don't matter :p).. and of course trying hard to concentrate amid chaotic workers who are basically destructing my home on the name of RENOVATION.

For all those who don't know me personally Well being a Management student I went to Bangalore aka Bengaluru for my summer internship at one of the (so called) IT firm Religare Technologies.

Although, I don't travel too often, this is the first time I am visiting this place. Also this is by far the longest distance I traveled ever. But somehow I felt, this trip will be very interesting. The fact was that after struggling a lot I found a very good place to live there with an internet connection and all luxuries of life which actually changed the whole experience. I don't know how I became so fortunate  because I didn't expected when I was leaving home. And that too I usually can live on minimals even though I'll be get disconnected from the rest of the world, but I suppose in an IT city you can found access to internet, even you when don't get a Samosa (North Indian Dish)

I am here again, blogging about the same city.

All this time when I was there, I had some interesting encounters, the ones I'd have hardly faced in my home city. The main distinction and the main factor being one thing, language. I won't term it as a "language barrier", here. Cuz, it's the reason I have enjoyed that much. Whenever you're in a city of different language, to survive, you need to know just one thing: How to convey that you don't know their language in their own language... Confused..?? It's like saying "I don't know English" in English or "Malaa marathi bolaayla yet naahi" in Marathi (which was told to me by my brother, Rahul Singh who was senior software developer at TCS Pune). So, here, in Karnataka I had learnt to speak just two words: "Kannada Barodilla" - I can't speak Kannada (this I learnt from my bhaiya cum roommate Anshul Bhaiya along with numbers from 1-20, which eventually faded from my mind). Next time around I will made sure to implement my short learnings. and those two magical words made my trip, literally!

I remember day before leaving, I was on bike with my Boss. I don't why he always runs as he was in extreme hurry might be because he was doing SALES could be a best reason for the same.So he was  driving fast and it cut the way of an elderly person on bike, but just moments after we had to stop coz the Metro construction work won't let us pass :(  So, that elderly person made his way till our bike and told us something, we didn't understand and we didn't speak anything. When my boss didn't answer him, he thought boss was ignoring him and he started abusing me (you immediately come to know when someone is abusing by his tone). So, after he finished his lexicon, my boss told him "Kannada Barodilla". He stared at us (firstly my boss then me) for a moment and then burst out laughing. Then again, he started saying something in Kannada, this time in a cheerful way. My boss then told him "sorry" in Hindi  "Sorry, galti se ho gaya". I wonder if he got any of that, but then that saved me.. :) He told us in Hindi "theek.. chaltya" (Fine, that's OK).. Even the Hindi they speak is of a completely different kind. I then moved ahead..

I would like to keep this post short. I plan to publish some more interesting experiences in my future posts.

After this, whenever I met someone Kannada, I usually reply by saying "Kannada Barodilla", and then it leads to an interesting conversation.

I hope I did not hurt feelings of any staunch Kannada-speaking-person. If my other roommate Hemant Bhaiya comes to know I have written all this and published on the blog, he will chew me out raw.. :D as he speaks Kannada fluently.
